Our Team
Steve Laird
Steve is the senior partner in the business and has been an IFA (Independent Financial Adviser) in the UK for 17 years. He has also been advising expat clients in Spain for the past six years and appeared on national TV and Radio as a financial expert, as well as writing many articles for both the trade press and daily newspapers.
Steve is passionate about quality financial planning and in 2008 established our office in Belfast city centre, in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter. Outside of work, Steve is a keen golfer and a champion of consumer rights.
Jill Laird (not pictured)
Jill is Steve's wife and a partner in the business. She also works part-time as an Occupational Therapist for the NHS. Jill spends the rest of her time giving practical support to their three children and in providing both management skills and practical support to the firm. Jill is a keen horsewoman but seldom has the time (yet!) to indulge in her favourite activity.
David McGivern
David joined the firm from another Belfast-based IFA where he was a valued member of the support team. He has an honours degree in Economics from Queen's University Belfast and is responsible for most of the research that Carrington Wealth Management undertakes on behalf of clients. David is currently studying for his financial planning exams. His hobbies include travel and team sports.
